Once you have agreed to buy a house:-
- Contact Nelsons on Freephone 0800 328 6410 to give us details, or use the easy 'Get a Quote' link to the right. You can get a comprehensive cost estimate for the conveyancing here, and give full approval to go ahead online without any need to sign forms.
- Tell the seller's Estate Agent that we are acting for you and give them our contact details
- We will send you a quotation together with our Terms and Conditions and an Instruction form to collect details of you, your seller and the transaction. We will need proof of your identity as required by Money Laundering legislation. You can give us the approval to do these identity verification checks and start the work for you easily in this site, or can sign the forms and produce proof of identity in person if you choose.
- If you need a mortgage, ask to see our Independent Financial Advisor as soon as possible. He has access to all available mortgages and can advise on what product is best for you
- Once we receive the pre-contract pack from the seller’s solicitors we can apply for the local authority and other necessary searches, which may take up to 4 weeks
- We will ask the seller’s solicitors any further questions we need to raise about the property, check the searches when the come back to us and the terms of your mortgage offer (if applicable)
- When these checks are complete, we will arrange for you to sign the contract and mortgage deed and will ask you to provide the agreed deposit needed at exchange
